Job Description: Performs Systems Engineering activities related to Information Technology or Engineering including: concept of operations formulation, requirements definition, analysis and engineering, system architecting, system analysis and design, interface and data architectures, validation and verification, Systems integration, system & op. performance analysis, Lifecycle cost analysis & estimation, decision analysis and physical configuration analysis (PCA) . Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total Systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software or engineering specifications. Provides specific, detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. From an information technology perspective, may be concerned with floor layout, power & cooling, data storage, infrastructure management, backup, monitoring, operating Systems, directory services, identity management, access management, and automation. (It should be understood that this is not intended to be a detailed nor comprehensive description of any individual employee's Job content. Managers set the specific duties and responsibilities for each employee). SCOPE: N/A LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT: N/A KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND ABILITY: Frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet outlined objectives. Work is reviewed by supervisor/lead to measure meeting objectives. Directs established guidelines, procedures and policies. PROBLEM COMPLEXITY: Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity where analysis of situations or data requires a review of the variety of factors. FREEDOM TO ACT: Works under general direction on routine work. May receive detailed instructions on New projects or assignments. Follows established procedures. Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy. Exercises judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. IMPACT: Contributes to completion of milestones associated with specific projects. Failure to achieve results or erroneous decisions or recommendations may cause delays in program schedules and may result in allocation of additional resources. LIAISON: Primarily internal company contacts. Infrequent inter- organizational andoutside customer contacts on routine matters.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:

- Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and 0 years related experience (Required)
- A demonstrable knowledge of system engineering and system architecture principles. (Required)
- Experience with Object- Oriented analysis/Design (UML Modeling). (Required)
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, written/oral communication skills and problem solving ability. (Required)
- Expected to have a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite as well as time and task management skills. (Required)
- Knowledge of software development standards, networking, and communication protocols is highly desirable as well as familiarity with military software/hardware Systems and XML protocols. (Required)
- Familiar with DHS? Acquisition Lifecycle Framework (ALF) and the Joint Requirement Integration and Management System (JRIMS) or the DoD equivalent (JCIDS). (Required)
- Working knowledge in an architectural tool [IBM, BAE, SPARX, or Telelogic]. (Required)
