Raytheon Intelligence and Information Systems is currently seeking a Capture Executive who will be responsible for identifying, developing, and winning new business within the Business Development organization and with special emphasis on leading and capturing top pursuits. The Capture Executive is accountable for new business capture management, strategy development, managing the execution of the strategy, and monitoring progress toward organizational objectives. This individual is responsible for leading a multi-functional, high-performance team to accomplish these objectives in a dynamic, matrixed environment.
The Capture Executive is responsible for developing strategies within the DoD, Intelligence, Federal and Civil markets and implementing specific pursuit strategies. Included are strategies for teaming, solution (technical, management, and cost) development, proposal staffing/development, etc. The Capture Executive leads a team through the development, implementation, and successful execution of these winning capture strategies -- keeping the opportunity qualified.
The Capture Executive is responsible for maintaining ongoing communication with management to report status and facilitate sound business decisions. This leader is fully accountable for all the activities related to the assigned capture opportunity through contract award. They are responsible for planning, controlling, and directing all related activities. The position requires a high level of engagement with close partnerships across a matrixed organization. The successful Capture Executive is able to influence, motivate and drive results in high-pressure situations. He/She must demonstrate agile decision making, strategic thinking and ability drive the team to results.
§Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration /Management or a related Engineering discipline
§15+ years strategic planning and management experience and demonstrated capture management experience
§10+ years of direct experience with the DoD, IC and Federal agencies operating in multiple markets
§Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions in stressful business situations
§Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within and as the lead of a high performance team; a highly motivated self-starter
§Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
§Must be available to travel as necessary
§Masters degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
§Familiarity with Raytheon businesses, policies, and practices
§Senior level experience with DoD, IC, Federal/Civil agencies operating in multiple markets or equivalent corporate business experience
§Demonstrated networking capabilities among various communities, e.g. acquisition officials/leads in the Department of Defense and other government agencies
§Experience working with complex acquisition processes
§Leading and motivating a well-equipped team focused on winning
§Maintain Focus on Customer/Mission while balancing winning the “evaluation”
§Set up programs to achieve excellent program execution to foster continued growth
§Utilize the RTN network and enterprise e.g. other programs, pursuits, people, re-use of documents, briefs
§Take leadership responsibility for winning IIS Strategic or Top Pursuits
§Be the Team the Customer Wants
§Capture Manager owns the PTW for their individual pursuit
§Drive behavior and increase Pwin across key captures (color teams, functional support, customer engagement)
§Mentoring of CMs
§Secret or Top Secret SCI security clearance desired
§Agile Decision Making, valuing diversity of thought and making sound decisions and applying sound judgment
§Masterful communication skills; Ability to translate between internal language and that of the customer environment; Ensure win strategies and differentiators are positioned relative to customer priorities, etc.
§Ability to allocate resources as needed and prioritize effectively in limited time frames; work across and throughout leadership channels to ensure appropriate multi-functional engagement to achieve needed objectives/milestones
§Demonstrated competence in leading and influencing high-performance teams
