Raytheon Global Business Services (GBS) has an opening for a Second Shift Manager I Facilities Maintenance. This position supervises second shift employees and contractors who clean, construct, maintain and repair utilities systems, buildings and equipment. Its primary focus will be in support of daily building upkeep and factory support. The successful candidate will direct the custodial staff, a contingent of second shift licensed and non-licensed trades such as plumbing, air-conditioning, heating, painting and general maintenance; as well as workers assigned to overtime assignments into the second shift. On occasion oversight of outside contractors performing work during and after normal working hours may also be required.
Provide team leadership based on your technical knowledge and ability to routinely develop cost effective solutions over a range of complex issues while ensuring solutions are innovative and consistent with organizational goals and objectives
Working knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, building automation systems, building controls and plumbing
Provide technical support to management teammates and trades personnel, will be involved in system evaluations and will be asked to create recommendations to senior management based on schedule, cost, State and Federal regulations and system research
Perform work with minimal direction and communicate well with team members, management, Security, EHS, internal customers, bargaining unit, outside contractors and vendors
Work multiple complex tasks simultaneously and set priorities to ensure successful outcomes of assigned tasks
Prioritize critical tasks and respond quickly using time management skills
Minimum 6+ years of applicable facility maintenance experience
Massachusetts Masters Electrician License or Massachusetts Masters Plumbing License or EPA 608 HVAC License
Project leadership experience
Experience of building infrastructure and technology
This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
Experience with State of Massachusetts and National building codes
Prior experience in the develop of new concepts, techniques and standards as well as experience in developing solutions to complex problems
Experience consulting with management on building maintenance and construction issues
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Microsoft Projects, Maximo, Building Management Systems and AutoCAD
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Required Education/Experience: ? Minimum 6+ years? experience in leading building, infrastructure, and maintenance projects and a Bachelor?s degree in EE or ME or the equivalent combination of work experience in Facilities maintenance and schooling/certifications in lieu of degree
