About the Position:
The role supports the transaction team to organize, report and improve on the acquisition process delivery. An excellent opportunity to develop further strong communication and influencing skills and to demonstrate delivery of results by achieving through virtual teams.
The role involves working with financial, technical and specialist subject matter experts and external advisors to create and operate within a structured project management atmosphere. Responsibilities include managing budget and scope of project and ensuring effective communications between functional areas, executives and approval forums.
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
Ensure resource availability and allocation
Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
Report and escalate to management as needed
Support Sponsor in managing the relationship with all stakeholders (internal and external)
Perform risk management to minimize project risks
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Knowledge & Experience Required:
Project managers should have a background in business skills, management, budgeting and analysis. Effective project managers are skilled at getting the best out of the people and projects that they oversee. They thrive when planning projects and working with project teams.
Strong networking and influencing skills, demonstrated through a track record in current or previous roles. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
A strong track record of delivery and performance ? a self-starter, confident and independent, ability to work to tight deadlines in a high pace environment.
Proven working experience as a project manager in a transactional/ consulting type situation
A Bachelor?s degree, preferably in a numerate discipline and/or significant relevant project management, is required. MBA preferred.
5+ years experience with project management or equivalent
Knowledge of renewable energy
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
