This exciting position is with the Skunk Works Mission Systems and Software team located in Fort Worth, Texas. This position is for an experienced Software Developer with skills in both software and hardware Integration & Testing. The position requires the use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques in the software field to develop solutions to complex problems across multiple domains including mission systems, modeling and simulations, and open system architecture.
The selected candidate will participate in the design, development, test and integration of Open Mission Systems (OMS) software services within a Service Oriented Architecture framework. The candidate responsibilities will focus on Software/Hardware Integration and can span the complete system development lifecycle, including requirements generation, system and software design, implementation, verification, and flight test.
The selected candidate will lead and develop software integration solutions for the Distributed Battle Management team and will be working within multiple laboratories that incorporate a full live, virtual and constructive simulation environment.
The selected candidate will be a member of a high-performing, multi-site Agile team supporting multiple projects concurrently. The candidate must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate must demonstrate effective communication skills as the position will require frequent internal interactions with project leads and other software engineers in the group. The ability to travel on occasion for team interaction, integration and test activities is required.
The candidate must hold an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and a final Secret clearance to start.
- Bachelor or Above Degree in a Technical Engineering Discipline
- Experience with Software Integration and Software Test
- Experience with development of Software Test Plans
- Experience with Software Test Procedure Development
- Experience with Software Automated Testing
- Avionics, Mission Planning and I&T experience / background, experience with requirements development and integration and test processes, strong laboratory skills, flight test experience
- Experience with Sub-System Integration
- Experience with open mission systems and UCI Message interfaces
