This role reporting to the Director of Logistics will be providing strategic leadership of Raytheon?s global integrated logistics operations. The successful candidate will have experience in Freight, Process, and Industry best practice including Third Party Logistics (3PL) Management practices and systems.
This position has the option of being located in any US location and is open to telecommuting.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop pricing and operational models for sea and air freight with Raytheon?s International Transportation Service Providers (TSPs)
Coordinate with overseas TSPs, Freight Forwarders (FFs), and Foreign Immediate Consignees (FICs) to manage import activities in order to meet service level and compliance expectations.
Ensure that logistics activities are in compliance with United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations and other Countries? customs requirements that we operate in or through
Develop and maintain teaming with Raytheon Global Trade Organization (GTO) and Global Compliance Organizational (GCO)
Develop and implement a robust International distribution strategy (inbound material handling, warehousing, material presentation to manufacturing operations, packaging, shipping and storage of finished goods, transportation management and planning) for International business expansion/growth
Develop and monitor international transportation plans (Route planning) for suppliers/customers
Lead the development and maintenance of enterprise-wide International logistics policies and guidelines.
Drive development and/or continuous improvement using established lean material flow strategies including: International 3PL/regional warehouse strategies and implementation of International distribution channels enhancing the value-added logistics services throughout Raytheon Businesses globally.
Transforming and improving the information flow, systems, tools and processes related to the physical movement of material.
Drive key performance measurement system (metrics) and continuous improvement throughout Raytheon?s International logistics operations and TSPs.
Ensure TSP capabilities are aligned with Raytheon international growth strategy including driving synergy opportunities with Raytheon Export/Import Operations.
Support the management of Corporate Wide Agreements (CWA) with Raytheon selected International TSPs.
Establish strategic plans for continuous transformation and improvement of Raytheon?s global integrated logistics function. While, collaborating with other Supply Chain functional leaders, cross-functional Raytheon leaders (e.g. Operations, Facilities, Information Technology, etc.) and strategic partners to execute enterprise-wide International logistics strategies.
Managing high priority, high impact projects using Raytheon Six Sigma (R6S) methodologies, in coordination with Raytheon Logistics Council (RLC) and key cross-functional stakeholders.
Be the representative to RLC for Raytheon?s International Logistics by supporting conference calls, regular logistics leader meetings, and benchmarking.
Lead implementation of RLC continuous improvement projects, best practices replication, process standardization and enterprise-wide development of International processes and tools (e.g. TMS, AIT, WMS) coordinating with Raytheon CSC Technology Council.
Minimum of 12 years of professional experience
Minimum of 10 years of supply chain management
5 years of managing International transportations
8 years of direct logistics management experience with strong, logistics operations background including ? warehouse management, material handling, logistics provider selection and management, volume Freight, 3PL, and logistics technology & tools
Proven ability to develop enterprise-wide logistics strategies and implementation roadmaps
Broad understanding of integrated supply chain best practices including lean material flow
Existing relationships and contacts with leading suppliers of integrated logistics solutions
Excellent negotiation and carrier experience
Strong, working knowledge and background in Auto-Identification Technologies, RFID and technology/system implementation.
Experience with large volume overweight/oversize International transport logistics
Must be prepared for business travel 50% of each month, both internationally (Europe/Middle East) & Domestic.
Degree, Course work, or certifications specializing in SCM or Logistics preferred
