Site Security Specialist

Applicants may be considered for the Site Security Specialist (G04) or the Site Security Specialist Senior (G05) position based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and position responsibilities.
The Industrial Security Analyst will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to interface with government customers and employees at all levels. The candidate should be effective at organizing and prioritizing customer/management requests within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Organizational skills to include attention to detail, time management and ability to multi-task are a high priority. Strong communications skills are expected, to include: excellent writing, speaking, analytical, organizational, and customer service skills. Must be a self-starter and capable of working with a limited level of supervision and guidance, be committed to continuous learning and professional development, and work well as a member of cross-functional teams.

Primary duties will include but are not limited to:

  1. Managing incoming/outgoing classified visits, and processing incoming visitors in Raytheon?s Visitor Registration System (VRS) and Access Commander
  2. Processing incoming and outgoing Visitor Authorization Letters (VALs) in the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS)
  3. Updating visit and visitor information in Access Commander
  4. Educating Raytheon personnel on our visit processes
  5. Validating clearances and briefings in JPAS
  6. Duties will be conducted in accordance with the requirements set forth in company policy, CSMM work instructions, NISPOM, NISPOM supplements, Executive Orders, ITAR and EAR

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.

Required Education, Skills & Experience:
  • Site Security Specialist (G04): High school, secondary school, or equivalent with 6 years of related experience
  • Site Security Specialist Senior (G05): High school, secondary school, or equivalent with 8 years of related experience
  • Possess a minimum of a current, final SECRET security clearance with an investigation not older than 6 years on the first day of employment
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to interface with customers and employees at all levels
  • Be effective at organizing and prioritizing customer/management requests within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent writing, speaking, analytical, organizational, and customer service skills
  • Ability to solve routine problems of limited scope and complexity following established policies and procedures
  • U.S. Citizenship

Desired Education, Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor?s Degree
  • Active Top Secret Clearance in scope
  • In depth working knowledge of classified and unclassified visitor control processes
  • Working knowledge of the NISPOM/NISPOM supplements
  • Working knowledge with JPAS
  • Data management experience
  • Ability to balance and prioritize work
  • Desire and ability to work as a team member
  • Organizational skills to include: attention to detail, time management and ability to multitask

Security Clearance Requirement: This position requires the successful issuance, transfer or maintenance of a Secret security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
