The Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) Integrated Communication Systems (ICS) Mission Area is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead the Integrated Solutions portfolio. This strategic position will report directly to the Sr. Program Director of the Protected Communications Systems (PCS) product line within ICS. This Sr. Program Manager will be responsible for the strategic leadership, growth, and overall execution of a portfolio of programs that deliver integrated mission capabilities built on the foundation of PCS?s secure communications products.

Responsibilities include managing a growing program portfolio and an organization of 8 program managers involved in the opportunity capture, product development, production, and life cycle sustainment of Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) terminals, Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) systems, and related national protected communication systems. This portfolio leader is also responsible for managing the strategic IR&D projects and CR&D programs that support PCS.

The PCS customer base includes the Air Force, Army, Navy, strategic allied countries (via FMS) and other US Prime contractors. The position may be located in either Marlborough, MA or Largo, FL.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading a team of program managers in the day-to-day execution of all aspects of the Integrated Solutions programs and products portfolio.
  • Maintain and improve customer relationships with the DoD acquisition customer base, DoD industry primes and end-user communities, including FMS customers.
  • Drive program execution focus and growth focus through a rigorous business cadence of program and functional reviews
  • Drive and execute plans for strategic investment to capture emerging market needs while maintaining core business base.
  • Travel: Approximately 25%


Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12 combined years of professional working experience in Program Management, Engineering Leadership, Operations/Production/Manufacturing Leadership, Capture Management, and Integrated Logistics Support Leadership
  • Progressive program management/leadership experience with development, production, and sustainment programs.
  • Experience in capturing new business/program(s), developing proposals, and customer engagement
  • Experience leading programs across diverse product lines, mission areas, businesses, and domains to deliver integrated mission solutions.
  • Strong background and experience in program management techniques (full Profit & Loss responsibilities) and working in a matrixed environment
  • Proven leadership competencies, especially influential communications, strategic thinking, cultivating innovation, collaboration, developing talent, customer focus, and driving results
  • Must obtain Raytheon Program Management Certification within 1 year of employment.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI
  • U.S. Citizenship


Desired qualifications:

  • SATCOM technical domain knowledge and/or use experience
  • Red Switch Network technical domain knowledge
  • Experience integrating electronics / communications equipment on airborne, ground, and naval platforms.
  • Level 2 PM Certification / PMI Certification
  • MBA or Advanced Technical Degree strongly preferred
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance


Required education:
Bachelor?s degree in Engineering, Math, Science or related discipline

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position requires a minimum of US DoD Secret Security Clearance as of day one of employment AND the ability to obtain Top Secret with in one year of employment.
