Administrative Specialist

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

?

Performs routine but varied clerical duties in accordance with standard procedures.

?

Applies knowledge of department policies and procedures, and a general understanding of other departments? functions.

?

Maintains records, data bases, prepare forms, verify information, and resolve routine problems.

?

Schedules daily work flow and ensure coordination of completed projects.

?

May interface with customers to provide status reports and information as required.

?

Operates photocopy machinery and coordinate complete document reproduction.

?

Performs and coordinates duties in one or more of the following areas: accounting, purchasing, marketing, office services, and security.

?

Processes, inputs and retrieves data, and manages databases, as required.

?

Prepares routine correspondence for management.

?

Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

?

Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds.

?

Constant sitting while using the computer terminal.

?

Constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents.

?

Constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication.

?

Constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

PERFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements:

?

A minimum of a High school diploma coupled with 2

years of job-related experience.

?

Working knowledge of word-processing and software applications.

?

Currently holds or ability to successfully obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications:

?

Good written communication skills.

?

Organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required
