CSRA has an opportunity for a System Administrator who will thrive in a cyber training academy setting. The successful candidate will provide system administration services in development and production environments. The candidate will ensure that applications, software systems, operating systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational expectations of performance. In addition to the in-house environment, the successful candidate will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of software in AWS infrastructure. The chosen candidate will be a quick learner, and have the desire to expand their knowledge and skills in a flexible environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform installation, maintenance, and upgrades of tools such as Jira, Confluence, reverse proxy, identity management.
  • Perform system monitoring and maintenance of important system parameters, including system administration on Linux and Windows systems.
  • Help tune performance and ensure high availability of infrastructure, including reviewing system and application logs.
  • Support, maintain, and troubleshoot production issues or alerts.
  • Create and administer users and manage service accounts.
  • Develop and maintain configuration management solutions.
  • Resolve escalated tickets and perform on-call duties as needed.
  • Research and recommend innovative automated approaches for system administration tasks.  Identify approaches that leverage resources and provide economies of scale.
  • Apply operating system patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure and add new services as necessary.

STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess active Secret clearance
  • Amazon Cloud Certification preferred
  • Red Hat Certification preferred
  • 3 years of system administration experience.
  • Clear, professional communication skills, experience in communicating with users, and able to contribute to team discussions.
  • Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills, and the ability to apply creative engineering and analytical skills to resolve system problems.
  • The client requires 8140/8570 IAT Level II at time of hiring.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BS or equivalent + 3 yrs related experience
