NISP International Security Specialist will be responsible for enforcing requirements, restrictions and other safeguards to prevent unauthorized disclosure of classified and sensitive information related to international business activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for incoming foreign visitor control, outgoing employee foreign classified visits, administering Technology Control Plans, validating foreign facility clearances, processing Transportation/Transmission Plans and performing the role of the Designated Government Representative for Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) contracts.
This position can be a Senior Industrial Security Specialist II / G08 ? or Principal Industrial Security Specialist / G09 based on the candidate?s qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for this position.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment

Required Education, Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor?s Degree with preferred majors in Business Management, Security Management, Criminal Justice, or other related field is required
  • Senior Industrial Security Specialist - 4 years of professional experience, preferably in a similar role with a related Bachelor?s degree required
  • Principal Industrial Security Specialist ? 6 years of professional experience, preferably in a similar role with a related Bachelor?s degree required
  • An active final Secret security clearance
  • Proficient knowledge of the NISPOM
  • Ability to promptly obtain FSO certification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Must be willing and able to travel out of state to support business objectives
  • Must be willing to work extended/irregular hours to support incoming/outgoing DCS shipments
  • Must be able to assume the duties of a Designated Government Representative (for Direct Commercial Sales)
  • U.S. citizenship
Desired Education, Skills & Experience:
  • Master?s Degree with preferred majors in Business Management, Security Management, Criminal Justice, or other related field
  • Active Top Secret Clearance
  • Knowledge of import/export policies and procedures
  • Ability to develop solutions to problems of some complexity that require a degree of ingenuity, creativity and innovation
  • Ability to plan, schedule and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Must possess effective teaming skills

This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization

Security Clearance: This position requires the successful issuance, transfer or maintenance of a Secret security Clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
