Work as part of a multifunctional team in the area of wafer processing of compound semiconductor materials. Position will focus on vacuum deposition and etching along with associated metrology technologies. The candidate will be responsible for process health (yield, throughput), review and maintain statistical process control (SPC), generate work instructions and train operators as well as new process development. Employee will also be instrumental in identifying, purchasing and qualifying new capital equipment.

Required Skills:

  • 8+ years of graduate/professional engineering experience
  • Sound knowledge of basic engineering principles, theories, and concepts
  • Experience with high vacuum deposition and etching semiconductor processing equipment
  • Experience with metrology equipment
  • Experience with a cleanroom work environment (Class 100)
  • Good mechanical aptitude and/or chemical handling ability
  • Excellent computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Effective communication and technical writing skills
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC)and Design of Experiments (DOE/ANOVA)

Desired Skills:

  • Matlab proficiency
  • Familiarity and experience with device design and modeling tools
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings or schematics
  • Visual Basic, G code, C+, or other computer programming experience
  • Understanding of basic semiconductor physics

Required Education: BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical) or Materials Science

Desired Education: MS or PhD in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical) or Materials Science?
