The Systems Architecture Design and Integration Directorate (SADID) is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon. More than 1200 systems engineers provide requirements definition, design at the system, subsystem and component level, and overall systems integration. Within SADID, the Command Control and Battlefield Radar Department provides systems architecture, design and integration solutions for the US and International Navy customer needs.
Job Description: The Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) program has a need for an engineer with strong systems engineering experience on a classified software development program.
Employ a functional knowledge of a wide variety of system engineering processes into a system architecture and design
Classical requirements analysis and decomposition, with allocation of performance specifications to lower level systems
Operational analysis and troubleshooting of issues related to radar and missile systems integration
System and subsystem modeling and simulation for detailed design and performance validation.
Participate as a member of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) responsible for analysis and resolution of software defects and engineering changes
System field test and operations. Familiarity with test planning and execution of operational trials and customer acceptance tests.
Work in a multi-disciplined agile engineering team to execute work
Flexible to work varying assignments and across disciplines
Collaborate with leaders and team member on projects to achieve schedule, financial, and technical goals as assigned
Some travel may be required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline
Experience: 4 to 6 year years of systems engineering experience
Work experience with system requirements development, and experience with DOORS
Obtain a DoD Secret Clearance; US Citizen required within 1 year from date of hire.
Experience in the following:
Coding and integration of weapon scheduling algorithms
System effectiveness and operational analysis
High fidelity modeling/simulation development and analysis
Model and tool analysis development (e.g. MATLab)
Requirements generation, decomposition, and allocation
Performance assessment and trade study experience
Radar and missile systems integration
Experience with combat system design and integration familiarity with hypersonic/high altitude aerodynamics and thermodynamics and the basics of missile stability & control
Knowledge of naval concepts of operation for anti-air warfare, anti-surface warfare, integrated undersea warfare, and electronic warfare
Familiarity with electronic attack and directed energy systems (EO/IR, microwave), including application and operational limitations
Familiarity with track processing and ?sensor fusion?, including the integration of local and remote sensors to create a complete ?tactical picture?
Familiarity with command and control systems and system architectures, including the integration of communications and data links, ?netted sensors?, and the distribution of navigation and timing information
Self-motivated and possess good written & oral communication skills
Demonstrated problem solving skills
