This position is for an assembler in the Cabinet and Console Integration Area. Job duties will be as follows:
Builds and populates electronics enclosure cabinets, routes cables, preforms pressure tests, fills in as-built-list (ABL) templates, conducts continuity checks, preps units for customer delivery, and assists with customer and quality inspections.
Establishes the location, fits and installs systems and accessories using various fasteners and techniques where mating, locations, and coordination of parts, assemblies and equipment are critical factors.
Works from engineering drawings, electronic work instructions, and written or verbal instructions.
Responsible for accurate record keeping, time recording, and safety training.
Uses computer to access work instructions, log discrepancies/issues, log time, enter ABL information, and communicate via email.
Read and follow Manufacturing Process Standards, Assembly Methods Instructions, Quality Notification dispositions and any other shop floor documentation required to fabricate, assemble, rework/repair electronic modules, packages, and associated ancillary mechanical components.
The successful candidate will independently read and follow production/service order work instructions, to include reading and interpreting design disclosure engineering documentation, (blueprints, redline drawing, sketches, etc.).
Operates related equipment ? torque wrenches, small hand tools, hand trucks, pressure test station, pull test equipment, etc.
Use all materials, tools, measuring devices, and equipment necessary to complete jobs such as module assembly, module installation, soldering, component removal & replacement, adhesive mixing, application, connector assembly, contact/wire crimping, insertion, extraction, assembly cleaning, and fastener torqueing. Able to use torque tools and perform torqueing operations.
The successful candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and will be proficient using data processing systems including the Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrated ability to use dimensional tools and gages.
Determines procedure and sequence of installation, assembly, modernization, repair or rework, by referring to blueprints, operation sheets, and other manufacturing information.
Standing/Sitting: Requires full time standing with limited resting periods and to walk distances. Sit for extended periods if required.
Weight restriction: Able to Lift/push/pull/carry a minimum of 40 lbs.
Body positioning: Able to twist/bend (neck or waist) and stoop. Able to work in awkward positions as required. Able to squat/kneel/crawl/reach as required.
Work content: Able to use/hold/manipulate small tools and parts with hands. Simple grasping, power grasping and fine manipulation is required.
Able to use torque tools and perform torqueing operations.
Repetitive tasks will be performed.
Excellent situational judgment and innovative continuous improvement.
Ability to work in a team environment and add value to the team as a whole.
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specs.
