With Human deep space exploration as a focus for the country, Lockheed Martin (LM) Advanced Development Programs (ADP) is looking to build a core team of highly motivated engineers comfortable with working in a fast paced, dynamic environment to help NASA meet these challenges.
Candidate will develop develop, test, deliver, maintain, and provide integration support for Orion Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) scripts for use by Jacobs in Exploration Ground Systems (EGS) Ground and Flight Application Software (GFAS) development for EM-1 as part of the Ground Handling and Operations Support Team (GHOST). Individual is responsible for contributing spacecraft operations and test scripts for Kennedy Space Center ground operations team. Further duties include documentation of operations processes and test procedures. Candidate will develop and share expertise on vehicle operations to ground operations personnel and work with customers to provide how-to information on an as-needed basis. Will serve as liaison from operations customer to Orion subsystem principal engineers.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor?s degree in computer science, computer engineering or related engineering discipline from an accredited college/university
Proficiency in Unix/Linux, C/C++, Java, Python, Perl and/or other scripting languages.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Desired skills
Experience with Eclipse.
Scripting experience with Python, Perl or related languages
Experience developing maintainable code, performing unit, integration, and regression testing.
Experience with software troubleshooting (debugging, testing, compiling) and software lifecycle (requirements, design, code and unit test and documentation).
Hardware/software integration experience
Candidate will be working in a lab environment, so experience with lab processes is a plus.
