Raytheon EO Innovations (EOI) is seeking a CNC Machinist for Optical Components.
This individual will be working in a team environment producing precision optical components used in various applications.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
The Diamond Turning Technician is responsible for manufacturing precision optical components by operating computer controlled diamond point turning machinery, preparing tooling and setups, and measuring diamond turned components. This position reports to the Production Supervisor and will work closely with engineering and other manufacturing technicians. Job requires standing 80-90% and walking short distances 10-20%, bending at the waist 20%, lifting and/or carrying < 15lbs.

Required Skills:

  • 4 years of experience in machining (lathes, mills etc.)
  • Able to set up and operate machining center on highly complex machined parts.
  • Geometric Dimension & Tolerance (GD&T) and G-Code programming experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word and Excel.
  • Must be able to work any shift, including compressed work schedule.
  • Must have the ability to read and follow written work instructions and engineering drawings.
  • Must be able to run multiple machines in a cell environment.
  • Desired Skills:
  • 6 years of experience fabricating precision diamond-turned optical components.
  • Experience with optical and mechanical metrology equipment.
  • Able to set-up, programming/editing, and operation of ultra-precision Diamond TurningMachines.

  • Required Education (including Major):
    · High school diploma or equivalent

    Desired Education:
    · Technical School / CNC Machinist Certifications
    · Associates Degree
This position can be a Production Associate Senior or Production Specialist based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience, and responsibility requirements for this position.
