Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Launch Security Operations Specialist (ISSO) to join our team in the Colorado Springs, CO area to provide unparalleled support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech. The ISSO will assist in providing general security support for a multi-disciplined and complex organization under the supervision of the program security manager.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

? Ensures AIS and network nodes are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and practices

? Perform Information System Security Officer (ISSO) duties in support of in-house and external customers

? Also, perform duties as the alternate Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM)

? Reviewing and developing AIS accreditation/certification support documentation

? Notifying the customer when changes occur that might affect AIS accreditation/certification

? Advising on and preparing Co-utilization Agreements for network nodes operating in subordinate government and contractor facilities

? Performing system and network self-inspections

? Identifying AIS vulnerabilities and implementing countermeasures

? Conducting security surveys at subordinate facilities and gathering pertinent security documentation for inclusion into system accreditation packages


Position Requirements:

? Bachelor's Degree and 10 years relevant experience or an additional 4 years relevant experience in lieu of the Degree.

?Thorough understanding of launch base/range operations, computer-based security, life safety, and payload processing facility controls systems

?Thorough understanding of launch security operations, visitor control processes, AT/FP measures, and emergency response functions

? Understanding reports such as System Security Plans, risk assessments, and certification and accreditation packages

? Understanding of DCID 6/3, NSA/CSS Information Security Certification and Accreditation Process (NISCAP), and DoD Information Technology Security Certification and Accreditation Process (DITSCAP)

? Good customer relation skills, team building, ability to work independently, articulate in written and verbal forms

? Technical expertise in: configuring and supporting Windows 3.X, 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, Unix and other OS

? Capable of developing and implementing a specific security task or specialty in support of a SCIF environment

? Ability to operate in a demanding and fast paced environment

? Effective verbal and written communication skills
