The role of Business Developer at SAIC is one of energy, strategy and leadership. Business Developers are the forward members of the company engaged in understanding customer pain, identifying and building critical relationships, and prospecting for new and unpublished opportunities. Business Developers are the senior leaders of sales, consistently working to introduce, identify and expand our presence as a company with a target agency. BD Directors work closely with capture and account managers to develop and deliver an actionable account strategy informed by critical relationships and client perception. Business Development Managers have the resources of the company at their disposal to protect, expand and grow business for SAIC.

Within the Federal Civilian Customer Group, Business Development Managers are viewed as thought leaders, ready to assist in developing strategies for growth and identifying new market opportunities. BD Managers represent the company to vendors and teaming partners, making strategic assessments on capabilities and establishing risk/reward matrices for every unique opportunity capture. The BD Manager represents the voice of the client ? and is charged with the identification and solidification of client comments, issues and key win themes. The relationships critical to the success of the proposal or sales effort originate with BD.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for ensuring excellence in delivery all aspects of the sales process to include:

- Prospecting
- Relationship identification and growth
- Identification of the most advantageous method to building key relationships
- Win theme identification
- Pain finding at a customer and enterprise level
- Teaming partner selection
- Win strategy development

? Bachelors degree or equivalent experience with 10+ years of experience with government or complex system sales and/or business development
- Demonstrated ability and reputation
- US Citizenship required

-Government sales in any of the following areas:

- System integration
- Engineering
- Technology services
- Cloud migration
- Software as a service
- Cloud services
- Technology / program support
- Hardware / software


- Federal government ? Health and Human Services (HHS), Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Atlanta, GA based preferred
