Position Summary:

We are seeking a Director of Internal Communication, reporting to the Head of Corporate Communications, based in our new Arlington, VA headquarters. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior leader who wants to be at the heart of Nestlé USA?s transformation. As a top member of the communications team, you'll lead the development and execution of internal communications strategies in the US, working closely with the CEO and executives across the business.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Champion our cultural evolution to be more agile and focused on innovation. You'll need to influence company leaders to adopt key strategies and programs to drive business results. This is an amazing opportunity to be part of Nestlé USA?s exciting transformation, building on our recent move from Glendale, CA.
  • Lead, develop and execute an integrated, strategic internal communications program that aligns with Nestlé?s business priorities as well as shapes employee engagement and culture.
  • Lead team of approximately eight communicators to provide top-notch communications planning and execution for key functions and business divisions.
  • Manage and optimize internal communications channels and social media tools, including the employee ambassador program, to enable the efficient and effective delivery of communications to targeted audiences. 
  • Provide executive communications, counsel and execution for NUSA?s Chairman & CEO, CFO and Chief People Officer. 
  • Develop talking points, FAQs, presentations, videos, web content, social media/digital strategies for employees ? all to reinforce our corporate brand, culture and transformational journey
  • Execute quarterly Town Hall meetings, as well as other employee events, to ensure visibility to the company?s performance, progress and purpose

Minimum Requirements: 

Minimum of 10 years of internal communications or related experience.
Bachelor?s degree in Communications or related field required

  • Well-developed storytelling skills; ability to write quickly and clearly for social media, video, town halls, etc. 
  • Must have extraordinary EQ: ability to work well with people at all levels, especially senior leaders
  • Effectively handles pressures and demands from multiple clients and competing priorities
  • Confident, collaborative self-sufficient leader who has a passion for internal communications
  • Excellent (and ruthless) editing and alignment skills
  • Understand nuances, comfortable working in gray areas ? all with the highest personal integrity
