Job Description:
The LPD 17 Class Deputy Integrated Product Team Lead (Deputy IPTL) supports both LPD Life Cycle Engineering and Support (LCE&S) and Ship Construction contracts. The Deputy IPTL will be responsible for cost, schedule and technical oversight of the Technical Instructions (TIs) for maintaining and upgrading Raytheon provided ship systems. The Deputy IPTL will report to the LPD IPT Lead and Chief Engineer. Tasking includes, but is not limited to, working with Cross Product Teams (CPTs) for resources, cost estimating, task scheduling, technical oversight, briefing internal and external customers, and supporting the Program Office for new scope and proposals.
Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years? experience in Naval or defense related programs
  • 3+ years? experience in managing cost, schedule, and technical performance
  • Strong Systems Engineering background with excellent communications and analytical skills
  • Experience with CMMI, Six Sigma methodologies, Risk & Opportunity management, and Systems of Systems development
  • Experience in managing Integrated Master Schedules in dynamic environment
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Experience leading multi-disciplined teams
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Able to travel as needed to support program and business goals
  • Bachelor?s degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or equivalent

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience working with US Navy customer technical and acquisition communities
  • Experience with US Navy warship systems, in particular systems related to Amphibious Assault ships such as CANES, SWAN, MSCS, CIDS/23TV, NDDS, SCDN, SPS-73A(V)13
  • Experience with system integration and test during ship construction and delivery
  • Experience working SW Development, Lifecycle Engineering Services, and/or Production programs.
  • Strong Network Engineering architecture and design skills
  • Experience with Information Assurance (IA) and DIACAP and RMF system accreditation process and Cyber Security
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Experience with Excel Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)
  • Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM)
  • Experience in proposal development and cost estimating
  • Self-starter with the ability to work across organizational and discipline boundaries
  • Creative/Innovative thinker with proven ability to mulitask
  • Experience working SW Development, Lifecycle Engineering Services, and/or Production programs
  • M.S. Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Math - Applied, Mechanical Engineering, Physics ? General, Systems Engineering

Required Education (including Major):
  • Bachelor?s degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or equivalent
