Deputy Security Manager ? Airborne ISR
About the role:
This role will report directly to the Group Security Manager but will be supervised on a daily basis by the Broughton & Waddington Site Security Manager.
The incumbent will support in delivering all aspects of Protective Security (personnel, physical & information) at the Broughton & Waddington Sites site to ensure that Raytheon UK meets Security Policy Framework and Customer security requirements.
Manage all aspects of the security vetting process for the AISR business.
Support the Security Manager (SM) in executing the site security plan.
Support the SM with achieving and maintaining HMG List X accreditation.
Assist the SM in ensuring that electronic databases for personnel clearances, documents and international visits are maintained for audit purposes.
Ensure record retention for personnel security is maintained in accordance with Data Protection (DPA 1998 & GPDR).
Deputise for the SM and when required to do so.
Assist the SM in identifying, reporting and managing Site specific security risks utilising risk management and governance processes and tools.
Liaise with 3rd Party security services e.g. Local Police, CTSA, Man Guarding providers, Airbus UK Country Security Manager and the Airbus UK Broughton Security Manager
Deliver security awareness training (induction, refresher, annual) as directed by the SM.
Inspire and promote a positive security culture within the Broughton & Waddington Sites.
Undertake periodic security musters and audits of GCI as directed by the SM.
Conduct Off site event security surveys as required by the SM.
Conduct security surveys on behalf of the MOD customer as directed by the SM.
As a member of the Raytheon UK Security Team, the Deputy Security Manager (AISR) will support the Security Manager (SM) in the delivery of all aspects of protective security (personnel, physical & information) at the Broughton & Waddington sites.
He/she will be responsible for co-ordinating the security clearance and visitor control process and support the SM with advising site and project leadership regarding the implementation of protective security at the Broughton & Waddington Sites.
They will undertake specific security administration activities to collect and analyse information required to enforce security controls within the site managed service to meet the requirements outlined in the Security Policy Framework and Security Guidance for Contractors.
The Deputy Security Manager?s specific roles and responsibilities include the following:
Provide guidance to Line Managers, HR, and individuals on Vetting Clearance levels and aftercare processes where there are changes in circumstances or reportable security incidents.
Provide direction, support and oversight to the Security Co-ordinator for security vetting and visitor management to the Broughton & Waddington facilities.
Administer and assist in the provision of Training, Education and Awareness for those employees working with HMG Government Classified Information (GCI).
Provide advice and guidance on the requirements of the Official Secrets Act and the Cabinet Office?s Security Policy Framework.
Communicate on security matters with relevant personnel from external parties (e.g. clients, HMG departments, accreditation and industry bodies).
Support the implementation of the security communication strategy to improve security awareness across the business.
Assist the SM in the delivery of protective security across the Broughton & Waddington Sites site in compliance with security procedures and HMG SPF security requirements.
Manage site security when the SM is off-site.
Support the SM in looking at ways to improve the Security Function by questioning present methods and investigating collaborative working with partners and outside agencies and service providers.
Support the SM in managing security arrangements for Off-site events and issue briefs as appropriate.
Support the SM as the Broughton & Waddington Sites focal point for crisis management.
Report security breaches, contraventions and incidents to the SM.
Maintain oversight and awareness of security and industry best practice via HMG Government and associated departments/organisations.
Ensure site security procedures are adhered to by employees and 3rd parties working with HMG Government Classified Information (GCI).
Other Desirable Skills and Experience
Working knowledge of the ISO27001:2013 standard.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrable experience of managing security stakeholders (HMG Government and affiliates, clients etc.) and liaising with relevant security authorities
Knowledge & experience
Trained, or willing to undertake training in, and with demonstrable understanding in the following areas: -
HMG Security Policy Framework.
HMG Security Controller Roles & Responsibilities.
HMG Vetting Procedures.
HMG Government Security Classifications and the management of Government Classified Information (GCI) at all levels.
Dealing with stakeholders successfully across all levels of a business.
Able to prioritise workload with close attention to detail.
Ability to work alone with minimal supervision or as part of a team.
Able to respond to intruder alarm call-out at Broughton, on an as-required basis;
Eligible to attain (or holder of) the highest level of security clearance SC/DV
