Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems is seeking a lead Flight Test Support Lead Engineer for F/A-18 Kuwait Flight Test development with work at both NAWS China Lake, California and El Segundo, California. The Flight Test Support Lead is responsible for planning support and execution of radar flight test activities, data analysis, mission and planning coordination with Government, and contracting partners to yield successful mission results. This position also includes team leadership and collaboration in troubleshooting technical problems, determining solutions with product owners, and implementing effective solutions for China Lake Flight Test operations. This leadership position must coordinate with other functional organizations including Raytheon PMO, program customers, and test personnel to ensure efficient and effective flight test execution. This position is the the communication focal point with China Lake AWL, program management, and partners to coordinate schedule updates for the integration and testing of new hardware, software, database builds in support of F/A-18 Kuwait APG-79 hardware. This position will also act as a lead customer interface at China Lake AWL and liaison with Raytheon support activities in El Segundo. The lead must be able to operate with minimal supervision at China Lake with the SEIT Flight Test Team to ensure planning, coordination, Raytheon systems, and Raytheon support activities are ready to support each test mission.
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Science or related technical degree
Desired Education: Graduate of a recognized test pilot school or flight test curriculum
This position requires a U. S. Citizenship status as this position will need a U. S. Security Clearance on day one of employment.
This position requires a U. S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U. S. persons
