Integrated Avionics Technician (F-16) - Military veterans preferred

The Integrated Avionics Tech performs flight line organizational level and second line intermediate maintenance on F-16 Block 50 Avionics. Perform inspections; troubleshoot repair and maintenance of all avionics equipment and aircraft systems.
Provide and administer On the Job Training (OJT) of Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) Technicians as required.
Involved in all repair actions in specialty, conduct an effective OJT to qualify a cadre of assigned RAFO maintenance technicians.
Interprets equipment operating characteristics to isolate malfunctions in systems such as attack control, radar infrared, laser, instruments, displays, flight control, communication, navigation, satellite communications, identification, defensive and offensive, EMC systems Uses technical data wiring diagrams, electronic measurement equipment, AGE special tools.
Remove and install components performs and supervises alignment calibration and bore sight of avionics systems uploads operational software into system components
Inspect, analyze and evaluate avionics systems interpret inspection findings and determines adequacy of corrective actions.
Review maintenance management publications and procedures recommend methods to improve equipment performance and maintenance procedures.
Performs OJT and instruction, supervises and accepts work performed by RAFO technicians.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills
In-depth knowledge of advanced electronic principles and circuit analysis.
Ability to trace signal flow, understand interrelationships of circuits, interpret waveforms and voltages.
Working knowledge of aircraft communications/navigation and instrument systems.
Ability to interpret schematic diagrams, engineering drawings and charts of assigned systems.
Excellent soldering and harness/wiring skills, PC board, surface mount and crimping experience.
Working knowledge of all standard test equipment and maintenance procedures.
Working knowledge of technical orders and maintenance forms.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
AFSC 2A3X2 Integrated Avionics specialist, or equivalent and achieving 7-skill level performing or supervising functions involving installation, repair, testing, and modification on NAv Attack, Flight Controls Radar, SMS, Comm Nav and Ecm systems.
Experience & Education
High school graduate or GED with a certificate of completion.
Minimum 5 years’ experience F-16 Block 50, 8 years total avionics experience.
Experience in all aspects of intermediate level maintenance on F-16 Block 50 Avionics
Experience in all former A, B, C shop tasks.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
Individual must be immediately deployable to potential combat areas worldwide and able to adapt and live in austere conditions.
Is required to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch and work in tiring and uncomfortable position. Frequently lifts parts and equipment up to 20 pounds. Occasionally lifts objects up to 50 pounds. Most heavy lifting is accomplished through the use of mechanical devices.
