Job Summary
 
The Parts Clerk processes supply requisitions, shipping documents, transaction reports, surveys, and conducts follow-up action. The incumbent will support the military supply systems by processing requisitions, shipping documents, and transaction reports; maintain and organize bench stock system; conduct training classes and maintain training records for personnel. Perform other duties as assigned by Site Manager and Lead Supervisors.
 
Principal Accountabilities
  • Perform physical supply inventories
  • Research requisitions, receive materials, inspect and verify material received, and maintain records for receipt/issue of material
  • Maintain records and provides traceability of documentation
  • Assist in shipping and receiving of material/supplies
  • Note and report discrepancies and/or damage to materials
  • Promote continual improvements in material movement, inventory accuracy, safety, and employee development
  • Assign a bin location for parts and annotates location on parts listing when new parts arrive
  • Ensure that requested parts are expeditiously placed on order and document control numbers are affixed to requisition forms
  • Trainable to operate light-weight forklifts if required
  • Ensure that the work area is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness at all times
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility
  • Prepare material control and accounting input for data processing and reviews output documents
  • Inspect and evaluates inventory management activities
  • Manage distribution and filing of receipt, issue, turn-in and salvage records for all related classes of supply
  • Adhere to published SOPs, Air Force Regulations, DA Pamphlets, DCP Procedures and Processes, etc
  • Perform needed OJT/Classes training as required
  • Examine stored materials and reports deterioration and damage
  • Remove materials from inventory and prepares for shipment
  • Create detailed daily, weekly and bi-weekly reports for tracking materials received and accepted
  • Monitor parts and components quantities received from vendors and identifies problem areas
  • Input pertinent data from receipt and acceptance, to quality inspection, to inventory, into appropriate tracking system modules
  • Perform supply administrative filing and data entry when required
  • Perform On The Job Training to Foreign Nationals
  • Submit Reports and Action Requests as required
  • Required to operate general office equipment including computers and printers
  • May be required to operate manual equipment, government vehicles and material handling equipment when properly trained and licensed
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the DynCorp Site Manager or designated representative

Knowledge & Skills

  • Working knowledge of U.S. DoD/USAF supply systems, and the instructions that apply to these supply programs
  • Three years in United States military supply system management is highly preferred
  • Minimum three (3) years of logistics related knowledge and/or training. Experience can include at least two years of OCONUS or management work. Experience in an OCONUS military environment is desired
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of supply publications
  • Must be able to use and operate personal computers with database and spreadsheet software, accurately input data and be capable of operating in an automated supply environment
  • U.S. Citizen

Experience & Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Associates degree in a logistic or management discipline considered a plus, but not required
  • Three (3) years’ experience using US Military supply system

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

  • Must be fit and capable of performing assigned duties
  • Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
  • Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
  • Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions
