This position is for a Financial Analyst II, working within the Raytheon Missile Systems (RMS) Finance Special Projects Team. As a member of the RMS Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality Finance Special Projects team, the successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing business opportunities and modeling potential impacts to processes, systems or products.

Scope of work includes business case analysis, data mining and analytics, communicating with parties internal / external to the organization, and development of project milestone deliverables.

The candidate will be required to act independently and be self-motivated to drive change. Demonstrate capability to operate in an unstructured (minimal guidance) environment and must be able to prioritize multiple actions across the project portfolio.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Drive enterprise change through the development of return on investment / business case analysis for key RMS initiatives impacting the Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality functions
  • Contribute to ad hoc analysis in support of RMS "make-buy" activities, SC and OPS affordability analysis and validations, supplier financial assessments, and supplier "should cost" analysis
  • Required to solicit, acquire, and synthesize information from multiple sources into comprehensive deliverables
  • Facilitating the identification of hard savings (EAC, MR) and profit margin in Customer savings across functions
  • Recommend and implement process improvement and corrective actions where appropriate
  • Routinely interface with functional leaders and staff to coordinate support
  • Active participation in cross functional team councils
  • Collaborate with functional areas on prioritization of projects and deliverable expectations
  • Communicating clearly and removing barriers to execution across the functions

Minimum Required Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in the field of Business, Finance, Management, Economics, or Mathematics or a related field and 2 year of working experience in a business management or finance role in a company environment or Master degree and 0 years of experience
  • 2 year in an independent role tasked to develop, update, and status financial and performance analysis
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Operating Systems and all Microsoft Office tools, with particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work alone and on teams in a results oriented environment to develop solutions for complex problems that will gain desired outcomes.

Highly Desired Skills:

  • The confidence and courage to effectively lead, present, and participate in large and small meetings and status sessions, even when having to provide bad news or disagree with management
  • Ability to quickly learn advanced financial and planning skills required by multitask requirements and to create project milestones and schedules for small to large projects in a cross-functional environment
  • Analytical skills and the ability to become proficient with main-frame style business systems where vast amounts of data require mining and analysis
  • Understanding of statistical methods and financial modeling (return of investment)
  • Problem solving abilities that bridge business opportunities to financial impacts
  • Held one team leadership position in a fast paced environment that included multiple working organizations. This would include team leadership of financial and functional personnel
