An exciting opportunity is currently available for a Ground Person who wants to be part of something big. The Grounds person is a member of the Buildings and Grounds Team and provides essential services to support the Naval Communication Station ? Harold E Holt (NCS HEH) contract. The Grounds person is required to provide support related to the grounds maintenance at the NCSHEH site. This position reports directly to the Buildings and Grounds Supervisor, or nominated delegate.
Undertake a variety of tasks in support of grounds maintenance requirements for the facility.
Pest Control Services
Undertake visitor / contractor escort duties.
Liaise with key stakeholders to notify and organize tasks as required.
Ensure that equipment is maintained to operate in a safe manner.
Use of computer systems to record and plan work tasks.
Promote and participate in ensuring a safe and injury free workplace.
Responsible for complying with Raytheon Quality and Safety System requirements.
Provide assistance during VLF Panel raise and lower activities.
Skills and Experience
Relevant grounds keeping or general maintenance experience
Able to work professionally with minimal supervision.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to adapt to change and be flexible.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks and activities.
Able to lead small teams to perform specific tasks.
Positively influence and shape a proactive and engaging team culture.
Solid understanding of safe handling and work practices associated with various cleaning agents used on the facility.
Valid current WA Driver?s License
