JOB DESCRIPTION:
Lead Training Developer

- The selected candidate will support the instructional systems design, development, and delivery of a training program in support of the National Heart, Lung, Blood Institute (NHLBI).
- As the Lead Training Developer, will work within a team, and individually, to respond to the training needs of the customer in analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating course content, curriculum, evaluation methods and criteria, testing, delivery methods and instructional delivery. These deliveries will range from soft skills in the use of NHLBI?s delivery and collaboration tools, such as WEBEX and SKYPE, to more specific curriculum content focused on their occupational roles and responsibilities. Frequent use and application of industry practices, techniques, and standards will apply.
- Prepare training curricula utilizing development applications to be delivered via computer-based training, eLearning environments, and/or learning management systems
- Supports completion of training analysis; designs and develops training curricula; designs and develops multimedia/web storyboards and training; and measures and evaluates effectiveness of training
- Support development of advanced concepts, techniques, and standards
- Develops new applications based on professional principles and theories
- Supports development, modification, and execution of company policies which affect immediate operation(s) and may also have company-wide effect
- Develops solutions to a variety of problems moderate in scope and complexity. May refer to policies, procedures and practices. Challenges are often unique and solutions may serve precedent for future decisions.
- Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Plans schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
- Collaborates closely with customer organization to review and establish assignments and utilize resources to accomplish goals and meet schedule objectives.
- Prepares training curricula utilizing development applications to be delivered via live, virtual, computer based training, web based training, eLearning environments and learning management systems, and upgrades and modifies training programs and curricula accordingly for effectiveness of training programs.

Qualifications:

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- Bachelors and six (6) years or more of related experience; Masters and four (4) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years experience

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:

- Security clearance must be able to obtain L5/Public Trust Clearable.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- Proficient with the use of the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) process.

- Support completion of front end planning and analysis for training/programs of instruction and products;

- Design and develop training curricula;

- Design and develop multimedia/web storyboards and instructional training material;

- Measure and evaluates effectiveness of training (xAPI, assessments, surveys, etc.)

- Demonstrable ability to:

- Support development of advanced concepts, techniques, and standards

- Support development of new training applications based on instructional principles and theories

- Design training curricula to be delivered via live, virtual, computer based training, web based training, eLearning environments and learning management systems,

- Modify existing training programs and curricula accordingly to increase/ensure effectiveness of training programs

- Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office, WEBEX, and SKYPE products.

- Experience with grant writing is a plus
