As a Warehouse-Inventory Clerk, Senior Coordinator, you?ll join our factory in north eastern Pennsylvania, which manufactures ALPO, and Friskies brand canned cat and dog food along with Friskies pouch products.

The Senior Coordinator, Materials will be responsible for coordinating the logistics related to raw materials procurement.  This key role at our factory will schedule assigned raw materials according to production requirements and ensure production schedule compliance.  In addition, this individual will work with finished goods planning to determine required quantities of assigned raw materials needed based on the production schedule and MRP system to assure that the inventory balances will support production while avoiding excess inventories.

  • Order assigned raw materials as needed from outside vendors, using the SAP and any auxiliary systems  
  • Coordinate purchases in a timely manner to minimize freight costs
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all vendor communications and as the collection point for the vendor notification process (VNR) 
  • Coordinate shipments of returned / rejected materials.
  • Publish a weekly receiving schedule for assigned raw materials
  • Assist with master data updates of the MRP system
  • Follow-up on open purchase orders and address any invoice issues
  • Serve as back up to the materials assistant during absences
  • Actively participate in factory wide safety initiatives
  • Work primarily in SAP and other Microsoft applications to perform duties
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement projects within the factory


High School Diploma or GED Equivalency 
1+ years? experience in raw materials purchasing or scheduling in a manufacturing environment


Bachelor?s degree 
Experience using SAP or any MRP/ERP software
