Associate Broker - Retail Leasing
Job Description Summary
The Associate role will work directly with a fee-earner team, within Cushman & Wakefield?s Retail Leasing group. In this role, they will assist the team(s) by conducting space showings, assisting with tenant outreach, conducting property specific due diligence, preparing written content, performing financial analysis, preparing client reports, and coordinating and preparing pitches/proposals. The Associate will also assist with client/prospect relationship management and communication and performing various related tasks.
Job Description
Conduct Space showings, perform property specific due diligence, assist with tenant outreach and general canvassing
Oversee and execute client reporting requirements (Agency Leasing)
Coordinate project deliverables and timelines, working directly with fee-earners
Support financial analysis, content preparation, pitch and/or proposal coordination, CRM management
Key responsibilities
Client Interaction
Perform property showings and tours on behalf of fee-earner as needed
Work with property-owners or clients in scheduling tours and showings
Prepare reporting per the client requirements
Attend client meetings with fee-earner as needed
Communicate with Client on behalf of fee-earner to request necessary information
Provide status updates to Client as appropriate
Pipeline Reporting and Tenant Outreach
Develop property specific target tenant lists
Manage VTS by inputting new pursuits and updating current opportunities as necessary
Work with Senior Associate on tenant outreach and broker to broker canvassing for Agency Leasing assignments
Work with Senior Associate and other team members, as needed, on pipeline reporting
Maintain Databases
Understand and collect updates for new listings, lost listings, and changes to existing listings
Review database to ensure accuracy of team?s listings
Provide updates to Research based on activity
Periodically review third party sites to ensure accurate and up to date information
Work with Research team to update information, as needed
Provide updates to third party based on open and closed opportunities/listings
Pitch and/or Proposal Coordination
Assist with pitch and/or proposal coordination as needed
Coordinate proposal and deal priorities, communicating priorities to team/fee-earner
Work with Senior Project Coordinator and/or Marketing to develop written content of proposal based on direction from fee-earner as needed
Property Level Financial Analytics
Collaborate with Senior Associate in development of due diligence, financial analysis, and/or pulling and packaging comps
Work with research team, as necessary, in retrieval of comps from systems
Manage timelines and deliverables in response to client requests for analysis
Work directly with client and fee-earners, as necessary, to capture information requested
Develop and maintain deep understanding of market
Coordinate go-to-market activities, if necessary
Bachelor?s Degree. Major in Real Estate, Business, Accounting, or Finance a plus
Demonstrated interest in real estate
Demonstrated interest in retail leasing and the Manhattan retail market
Understanding of the New York real estate market
Internship experience in Commercial Real Estate or Finance in a related field
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of Salesforce a plus
Knowledge of CoStar and other related CRE listing software a plus
Current New York State Real Estate License required.
