Sr Project Manager
Job Description Summary
Senior Project Manager, Project & Development Services
Responsible to execute a project or group of projects on behalf of Cushman & Wakefield. Manage oversight of the design development, entitlement and permitting process and construction of projects through the use of established processes. Projects will vary from large commercial ground-up developments, capital improvements, healthcare, and interior only improvements. Candidate must possess experience and expertise to work in a collaborative environment with other members of the Project & Development Services team.
May be responsible for the following:
Assemble and manage a project team of internal and external professionals
Collaborate with other PDS professionals to accomplish the client?s objectives
Develop, review, and approve plans for completing project deliverables
Be the primary point of contact with the client for day-to-day interaction and expectations
Prepare and/or review project contracts
Play critical leadership, coordination, and communication role with all stakeholders
Regularly monitor the progress of all sites by completing site visits
Ensure the project plan, scope, work structure, schedule, and budget are maintained by all involved parties (e.g. consultants, engineers, architects, vendors, etc.)
Create and evaluate project schedules
Develop project budgets; monitor and ensure budgets are met
Track savings opportunities and cost avoidance for client documentation
Oversee document preparation and completion (e.g. contracts, close-outs, punch lists, warranty, etc.)
Create and evaluate project reporting using the client?s preferred reporting tools; provide timely and accurate project status reporting to internal and external parties
Continually seek and capitalize upon opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships
Promote and source new business opportunities.
Must be willing to travel in the south and mid-west regions ? 3-4 trips monthly with single overnight stays
Must office from or relocate to the Dallas office of Cushman & Wakefield
Bachelor Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or related discipline
6+ years of project or construction management experience
Ground-up and interior finish construction experience required. Healthcare experience required.
Solid understanding of the construction industry, terminology, codes, documentation, and design disciplines
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Proficiency with project management tools (e.g. Microsoft Project, web-based project management portals)
Strong organization with proven leadership and interpersonal skills
Ability to perform duties under deadline pressure in a fast-paced, high volume environment
Detail oriented and thorough
Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
Possess empathetic skill
