Systems Engineering (Weapons) Graduate Leadership Development Programme

Summary of Role:

The Graduate Weapons Systems Engineer will support activities in relation to the production, certification and integration of Weapons Systems for UK & Export Customers.

The Engineering Team also undertakes various development studies and investigation activities involving weapon performance and platform interfacing.

The Graduate Weapons Systems Engineer will work closely with the Chief Engineer and engineering teams to execute engineering tasks in addition to leading their own activities.


Main Duties:

The Graduate Weapons Systems Engineer will support the Chief Engineer and Engineering team in a variety of activities across the Weapons Business area. This will be in support of production, development & integration activities and also new business initiatives. In addition to support to existing teams, the Graduate Engineer will be expected to lead their own activities and initiatives.

Graduate Leadership Development Programme Training:
During the first 2 years, in addition to your main role, you’ll be assigned various modules to support your career development. These range from business skills to team building activities.

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

  • 2:1 or above undergraduate degree (Engineering degree discipline)
  • Pre university qualifications equivalent to 120 UCAS points new system or 300 UCAS points old system
  • Ability to relocate to different UK sites and relocate during the role if required

Desirable:

  • Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering related degree
  • Member of a relevant Engineering institution such as the IET
