Designs, installs, maintains and coordinates the use of the network systems and IT infrastructures. Manages network performance. Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems to ensure quality transmission service on the network. Identifies, researches, and resolves hardware, software, and network related problems. Installs server racks; racking and stacking servers and other hardware. Installs, tests, certifying and troubleshooting network infrastructure, to include copper and/or fiber optic physical connectivity configurations. History of significant travel is a plus.
Knowledge of distributed LAN/WAN networks and TCP/IP protocols, including local IP addressing, Layer 2 switching, and Layer 3 routing
Experience configuring and deploying switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless devices
Hands on experience in field environments critical, with proven success in completing all job tasking within schedule constraints
Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Experience with power and heating/cooling infrastructures desired.
Proficiency with test/inspection equipment (DMM, Network cable tester, etc.
technical writing and documentation skills required, experience with Visio, label makers and IT inventory/asset management systems desired
Willingness to work within a diverse team in a variety of conditions/environments (facilities, field). Leadership experience is a plus. A self-starter mindset is critical.
Interest in mechatronics/electronics/robotics is preferred
Ability and willingness to travel at a 75% rate
May be required to obtain a passport for occasional projects out of country
