Job Summary
The IT Business Systems Analyst Senior is responsible for understanding, analyzing, and identifying creative operational efficiency generating business and functional requirements documents with multiple business partners and technology teams to deliver advanced technical solutions and process improvements opportunities that align overall IT strategies.  Passionate to uphold DI’s Project Management methodologies through project planning, analysis, program development and implementation to achieve effective functional solutions in meeting objectives and priorities.
Principal Accountabilities
  • Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to user needs.
  • Analyzes business operations to understand strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions.
  • Responsible for documenting procedures for deployment of products in a manner such that future deployments and redeployments are repeatable with a high degree of success.
  • Coordinates with business user to define problems, data availability, requirements and implements complex systems which are most cost-effective.
  • Assess business process and system inefficiencies.
  • Drive to a successful outcome in a deadline oriented environment requiring flexibility to changing requests.
  • Provide dynamic support to both business users and technology teams.
  • Elicit and clearly document business and systems requirements and the negotiation of requirements amongst multiple stakeholders.
  • Assist in enforcement of project schedule, scope, and management plans. 
  • Excellent communication, effective leadership and interpersonal skills across all levels.
  • May be designated as “lead” business systems analyst.
  • Applies intermediate understanding of company’s business needs in the resolutions.
  • Responsible for project deadlines and schedules.
  • May supervise staff when assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Understanding of how to translate functional requirements into technical requirements.
  • Technical IT skills: Intermediate IT Knowledge in programming skills, Software Development Methodologies, user stories, functional and non-functional requirements, support system conversions, upgrades, enhancements, advance understanding of computer software, hardware, networking, security, and databases.

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in associated discipline.  Two (2) years of experience in related field may be substituted for each year of the four (4) years of college.  
  • Four (4) years’ experience with IT business, systems, or testing analysis.
  • Experience supporting application and business users.
  • Advanced skills in MS Project, MS Visio, MS Excel, MS Word and other job related applications preferred.
  • Preferred Business Analysis Certification.
  • Preferred Project Management experience.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

  • Work is in normal office environment.


  • Some roles may require the ability to travel domestically and internationally.
