Responsible for direct supervision of hourly employees within the Processing Team and being a catalyst for people development through mentoring, coaching and performance management. Must be willing to work 3rd shift and overtime on weekends and holidays.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Direct supervision of hourly employees within the processing team.
  • Become an advocate for Nestle? Continuous Excellence (continuous improvement program). 
  • Be a catalyst for people development through mentoring, coaching and performance management
  • Coordinate cross functionally with all Team Leaders and Managers in meeting total plant goals
  • Keep current with updated training/educational efforts to enhance the business and technical knowledge.
  • Maximize operational efficiency, cost, quality, labor, equipment and materials related to production and maintenance
  • Use Purina standards for quality and sanitation to ensure that they are being consistently met or surpassed
  • Manage the Production schedule to maximize output while minimizing costs
  • Ensure products are produced in compliance with quality key check points and within ?Good Manufacturing Practices?
  • Maintain Finished Product Specifications book for Extruder Setup. Also responsible for feeder tests on extruders and liquid application. 
  • Confers with engineering and maintenance in coordination of repairs, modifications, etc. to equipment
  • Maintain traceability records for dye water batching.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum):

Education: 
High school diploma or GED equivalent

Experience (Years/Type): 
1+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or military setting required
