Participate in the management and upkeep of a pre-production, validation environment.
Support VMWare vSphere development of virtual servers.
Review logs from network and system monitoring tools such as NetIQ, Windows Event Logs, emails, etc; to determine appropriate course(s) of action.
Support the development of technical document using tools such as MS Visio, RedGate database tools and MS Word/Excel.
Support system accreditation activities as well as change management processes.
iPost ADHoc reporting to management and stakeholders.
Quarterly FISMA reporting.
Coordinate Vendor Quote requests for hardware and software needs.
Support patch management processes for multiple instances of SQL; includes functional and operational validation post patching evolution to ensure, among other things, high availability and performance.
Perform routine maintenance of database servers.
Monitor for hardware / firmware upgrades for production and non-production systems.
Participate in contingency plan testing, updating as needed.
Provide technical support and guidance to other groups/administrators.
