Raytheon Corporate Affairs and Communications is searching for a Manager, Employee Engagement to provide strategic oversight and execution of internal communications for the Vice President, Program Management Excellence (PMX) and the Vice President, General Counsel.
Reporting to the Director, Global Employee Engagement, the successful candidate must commit him/herself to gaining a deep understanding of how to best position Raytheon’s leadership to engage both the broad 64,000 global workforce, as well as micro-target based on functional priorities.
This position can be based in either Rosslyn or Waltham. Other locations will be considered based on experience.
Program Management Excellence Responsibilities:
This position will work directly with the Vice President to provide strategic counsel on a broad variety of communications initiatives. The position will build on current communications programs to develop a comprehensive, multi-year communications strategy for the transformation of Program Management at Raytheon. He or she will manage the holistic communications program, including budget and matrixed communications execution.
Further refine and execute VP’s thought leadership platform and program – internally and externally. Partner with PR, Public Affairs and DSM to execute.
Drive PMX channel strategy – partner with subject matter experts to draft and edit original content with a keen focus on snackable, multi-media formats.
Manage PMX Intranet – optimizing and updating regularly to consistently improve the employee experience.
Partner with PMX data analytics team to formulate and execute targeted communications focused on improving program performance.
Work with PMX subject matter experts and Advanced Media to update and improve writing assets.
Office of the General Counsel Responsibilities:
This position will also work directly with the Vice President to provide strategic guidance on a broad variety of internal thought leadership initiatives as well as manage, in partnership with Communications leads across the businesses, annual campaigns and high-level sustainment communications throughout the year.
Further refine and execute VP’s thought leadership platform and program.
Execute OGC small-group roadshows.
Lead communications campaigns and bi-monthly contests.
Direct content and metrics for OGC homepage and monthly OGC Brief – a key communications vehicle for the function.
Oversee annual enterprise compliance campaign including refreshing the overall plan, core messaging decks and managing Advanced Media resources to update collateral and assets.
Direct content updates and new content development for online hub.
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations or related discipline.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with and influence all levels of management.
Ability to juggle multiple priorities while driving tasks to completion.
Direct experience developing and executing strategic communications programs that employ creativity and use a variety of tools, forums and media.
Proven experience driving and measuring employee engagement.
Excellent communication skills – both oral and written.
Confident, self-starter with positive energy who thrives in a collaborative work environment and is committed to continuous improvement.
10 years related experience.
