University Programs: Systems Engineering Intern
Raytheon Intelligence Information and Services is seeking a Systems Engineering Intern to support a NASA's EOSDIS Evolution and Development 2 (EED-2) program, which involves the maintenance and evolution of the EOSDIS ECS, Earthdata, Earthdata Login, and NGAP systems, key components of NASA's Earth Science mission. These systems run on a Linux, windows, and VMware platform and are implemented largely in Java, Ruby and C++. The ideal candidate will be a highly enthusiastic team member excited about learning new technologies and continually evolving an operational system. In this position, which is located in Riverdale, MD, the intern will have the opportunity to have hands-on systems administration and development of new system capabilities supporting climate research.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Required Education (including Major):
Pursuing a Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Mathematics
Must have obtained sophomore, junior or senior status by Summer of 2019 (Candidate for graduation in 2020, 2021 or 2022)
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above is desired
This position can be a Salary Grade ST02, Salary Grade ST03, or Salary Grade ST04 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.
(Salary Grade/level ST02 position requires a minimum of rising Sophomore level class status (graduating 2022)
(Salary Grade/level ST03 position requires a minimum of rising Junior level class status (graduating 2021)
(Salary Grade/level ST04 position requires a minimum of rising Senior level class status (graduation 2020)
