Position Title: Technical Professional ? Mechanical
KBR is seeking a Technical Professional ? Mechanical.
Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
? Under direct supervision, provides technical engineering and design support for material handling projects.
Duties will include project scope identification/generation, equipment specification/sizing, generation & review of vendor bid packages, calculation of bulk material flow, and equipment layout.
Equipment will include, but is not limited to, conveyors (belt & screw), chutes, bucket elevators, paper roll handling equipment pneumatic conveying equipment, and other types of bulk handling equipment.
Candidate may also be responsible for estimating project costs, estimating engineering manpower, and interface with clients, vendors, and other disciplines.
Pulp & Paper experience or machine design experience preferred, but not required.
Must be able to climb ladders/stairs and perform onsite design work at industrial facilities.
Skills are typically acquired through an undergraduate degree in Engineering and minimum of 2 years related experience, with typical experience ranging from 3-7 years.
? BSME degree in Mechanical Engineering
Ability to perform mechanical design on multiple projects with focus on meeting budget,
schedule, and quality standards.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to perform site visits to assess field conditions and verify design requirements.

Experience in 2D and 3D design (Autocad and PDMS preferred).
