Description: This Project Engineer will report to the Eastern Range (ER) Project and Integration Senior Manager and be responsible for supporting the FBM ER Project Office team. The main role of the ER Project Office Team is to manage and execute current and future support equipment contracts for the FBM Navy customer. This role will provide support and oversight across the contracts and enhance the overall operating success of the project office. The Project Engineer will be responsible for maintaining status charts, organizing business rhythm activities, supporting integration initiatives and developing an effective and comprehensive website for the ER project office. The Project Engineer must be able to work effectively in fast paced and dynamic environments and be able to lead effectively across all business functions. Program management and cross functional leadership skills are requisite to success in this position. Oversees and supports the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between component management and program teams. Responsibilities will also include managing the Risk and Opportunity Management Board coordination for the ER Project Office. This involves utilizing the Risk and Opportunity Tracking Tool to identify and assess project risk opportunities and affordability initiatives and reporting status and updates to ER site leadership.
Desired Skills: ? Familiarity with the FBM program, capabilities, and CONOPS and/or similar Missile systems
? Project or Program management training or experience on FBM or other contracts
? Highly organized, efficient, proactive, and self-motivated
? Familiar with Project Server Workspaces environment
? Ability to author basic HTML code
? Experience in proposal development and negotiations or other contracting activities
? Experience as liaison to external organizations including customers and subcontractors
White, Green, or Black Belt Lean Training and/or Certification
Basic Qualifications: ? Bachelor's degree in an engineering or field related to job duties
? Good communications and critical thinking skills
? Experience leading multi-functional teams, projects, or diverse supply chain
? Demonstrated ability to solve complex issues with innovative solutions
? Experience with requirements definition and flowdown
? Proficient with MS Office
? Familiarity with Risk and Opportunity processes
? Demonstrated ability to communicate and present information effectively to all stakeholders
? Understanding of project management processes and documentation flow
? Familiar with MS SharePoint environment
? US Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
