The X-Lab is a very fast paced and dynamic environment. The X-Lab is responsible for developing future looking prototypes for the Ballistic Missile Defense System including Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development and other critical leading-edge missile defense technologies.
The X-Lab has need for a Senior Level Systems Engineer to assist in full cycle systems engineering of advanced concepts including CONOPS development, system interface design, integration and test, tool development and system analysis (functional and performance). This position will focus on the integration of the R&D systems and will contribute to other ongoing X-Lab and Special Projects as needed.
The engineer will require the ability to contribute to the development of system requirements and use cases, develop CONOPS, plan test events, develop test architectures, conduct peer reviews, and analyze test results. Assessing how the prototype system performs using state vectors, integrating source tracks into the prototype and assessing track processing results, generating and assessing concurrent radar and sensor tracks during M&S and live flight events, and enhancing experimental prototypes based on results of these activities.
Perform as individual contributor and Project Lead for advanced concepts development projects. Contribute in full lifecycle development of advanced concepts. Position is responsible for defining Operations Concepts, designing prototype capabilities, guiding prototype implementation, designing experiment & test strategies, analyzing results and applying results to guide prototype evolution into C2BMC the production system. Support advanced concept demonstrations during live and simulated MDA test events. Work with senior C2BMC technical leaders to evolve advanced Missile Defense command and control capabilities.
