Job Description: The SOK S4 Mentor will TAAM Special Operations Kandaks (SOK), Mobile Strike Kandaks (MSK), and Special Forces Kandaks (SFK) as part of a Mobile Training Team (MTT) regarding property book management and logistical management. The mentor shall advise counterparts on logistics matters that affect the accomplishment of the units? missions; monitor and track life cycle management of equipment of Kandaks; monitor critical classes of supply, verify/validate Kandak consumption reporting, perform property accounting requirements, account for and manage all property on property books; maintain document files; perform inventory requirements and procedures; conduct annual-monthly 100% (cyclic) physical inventory, report inventory discrepancies, and conduct causative research for these discrepancies, adjust MoD Form 2062 Property or Sub-Property Receipt and property receipt shortage annexes; perform turn-in of supplies and equipment; perform transfer of supplies and equipment; manage equipment and supplies IAW all applicable decrees and SOPs, conduct materiel investigation, conduct change of PBO inventory, conduct annual PBO inventory when required; and track MOD-14s and MOD-10s. The mentor will inform ANASOC SOAG mentors of the status of unfilled logistics requests upon completion of conducting an MTT. The mentor has an expeditionary role and will perform Expeditionary Train, Advise, and Assist (ETAA) missions.
Work Hours: Work may include nights, holidays, and weekends on short notice. Standard will be to conduct training six (6) days per week for up to ten (10) hours per day while at OCONUS work site(s) and a standard 40 hour work week while at CONUS work sites.
Responsibilities: Mentor will TAAM counterparts on duties and responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:
Train, Advise, Assist, and Mentor (TAAM) SOK personnel on S4 management procedures in accordance with Ministry of Defense (MOD) Decree?s 4.0 and 4.2 supply and property book procedures which are similar to Army Regulations AR 710-2 and DA PAM 710-2-1.
Responsible for support, property accountability, sustainment training procedures using ANA/ASSF logistics practices.
Responsible for regularly interacting with US military personnel.
May be responsible for making on the scene decisions as how to execute S4 duties and responsibilities.
May be responsible for assessing and tracking the proficiency and development of SOK Staff.

Maintain document files.
Perform inventory requirements and procedures.

Manage equipment and supplies IAW all applicable decrees and SOPs, conduct materiel investigation, conduct change of PBO inventory, conduct annual PBO inventory when required
Submitting, tracking, and receiving MOD-14s, MOD-9s, MOD-63s, and MOD-10s; any other MOD requirements.
Any other logistical functions or requirements necessary at the Kandak (Battalion) level in support of counterpart operations, missions, and/or events.
Former E7/E8/W2/O3 or higher in military occupational specialties of 88, 90, 91, 92 or 920 series or service component equivalent and have 6 years of experience in property book management at the battalion-equivalent level or higher

Physical Requirements/Working Environment
Include but are not limited to the wear of body armor and helmet Personal Protective Gear, unassisted lifting and carrying of duffle bags not exceed the weight of 70 lbs per piece, and the unassisted movement over uneven terrain.
Must be willing to work and live in Afghanistan with an understanding that there could be further assignments to any location in Afghanistan based upon the needs of the U.S. Government, to include hostile and austere areas.
Must be able to attend and pass USG deployment requirements at CONUS Replacement Center (CRC), Fort Bliss, Texas or equivalent location.
Must meet the medical requirements for the position being offered as determined by a pre-employment medical screening and in accordance with published CRC and USCENTCOM medical deployment standards.
Must be able to walk or stand on level and/or inclined surfaces up to eight (8) hours per day and sit for up to three (3) hours per day.
Must be able to routinely climb / descend stairs.
Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows / knees, and reach above / below shoulders.
Must be able to read and interpret newspaper and typewritten print.
Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
Employee will be required to work and live in a potentially hostile environment, at remote locations, and under austere conditions.
May be required to respond to a wide variety of operational circumstances, under extreme weather conditions, within a hostile environment.
May be exposed to extreme noise from aircraft, hostile fire, and other acts of aggression.
Security Clearance Requirement: Must possess and maintain a SECRET security clearance
Prefer experience with logistics support to Infantry or Special Operations background
Prefer previous experience training and advising foreign military soldiers
Experience with CORE-IMS is a plus
Prefer Security + certification
Bachelor's degree from accredited school & six (6) years of related experience, OR four (4) years related experience with Master's degree. Eight (8) years of additional equivalent work experience (14 total years) may be accepted in lieu of BA/BS education requirement.
