Follow written work instructions that describe how to develop code and how to unit test. Participate in the development of test plans and procedures for system software. Run tests designed to verify system software operations and document results. Follow written and verbal directions.
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.
Formal coursework/training in higher level languages (C, C++, Java). Interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written. Familiar with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).

Assembly, C/C++ programming, structured programming concepts. Object-oriented design and Unified Model Language knowledge. Statistical and numerical methods knowledge.
Required Education (Including Major):
Junior, Senior, or Post-graduate level standing in one of the following: E.C.E, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Math or Physics (or other hard science) with a Minor in Computer Science.
This position can be a Salary Grade ST03, Salary Grade ST04 or Salary Grade ST05 based on the candidate's qualifications and standing as outlined below:
ST03 (Junior Technical Intern)- must have completed 60 hours of college
ST04 (Senior Technical Intern)- must have completed 90 hours of college
ST05 (Post-Graduate Technical Intern)- must have an undergraduate degree, and be currently seeking a graduate degree (in degree fields listed in Required Education)
