Description: Exciting opportunity to work on the Subcontractor Management System Engineering team, which is part of the highly innovative Labs & Technical Services (L&TS) organization, responsible for developing, testing and maintaining aircraft simulation systems and subsystems utilized for aircraft capability integration and weapons systems development from concept design through production and delivery. Within L&TS resides an extensive collection of systems integration and test capabilities, including low-cost rapid prototyping concept development systems, full-dome handling qualities simulations, high-fidelity multi-ship, real-time, man-in-the-loop simulation systems, Reprogramming Laboratories, and hardware-in-the-loop mission systems and vehicle systems integration venues.
This requisition is for a Systems Engineering position assigned to the F-35 program team responsible for the development of real-time simulation systems consisting of avionics hardware in-the-loop and man-in-the-loop simulations. The systems engineer will utilize standard systems engineering practices to support the F35 Ownship & Environments Sensor Model Management and Reprogramming Laboratory Electronic Warfare (EW) or Radar related stimulator subsystem procurements and sustainment efforts. Details of the responsibilities include subsystem requirements development for new capabilities, requirements change management implementation between LM Aero and the product supplier, system integration support of new capabilities, planning for management of component obsolescence, anomaly resolution, and development of proposals and requests for proposals.
This position will require close coordination with laboratory customers, F-35 new business development, laboratory functional leadership, and laboratory system development teams to effectively address new capability requests for the F-35 laboratories. This position will provide technical support and advice to the laboratory and supplier development teams to ensure common understanding of proposed new system capabilities that will encompass the full product development process from development of system requirements and design, product development, system integration, system verification and product operation and customer support.
This position may require unique program security clearances that will be initiated upon selection and acceptance in filling this position. Final approval of these security clearances is dependent upon the Department of Defense (DoD) and could take an extensive amount of time to be granted. During this waiting period, the work assignments directly related to this position will be limited. Therefore, auxiliary organization work assignments will be provided.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. This position will require a Secret security clearance, with a current background investigation.
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

-Knowledgeable using the following Tools DOORS, MatLab, SysML, Rhapsody
-Knowledgeable in subcontract management
-Experience with aircraft avionics sensors including Radar or electronic warfare, electronic attack, electronic protection (EW / EA / EP)
Knowledgeable of F-35 Missions System Architecture
-Knowledgeable of F-35 Mission System Sensors
-Experience working in a Laboratory environment
-Good communication skills both verbal and written.
-Candidate has familiarity with F-35 Mission Systems Architecture and subsystems, DOORS requirements management tool, and system performance analysis and validation.
-Has a demonstrated software or hardware development experience.

-Strong work ethic and self-motivation
Basic Qualifications: -Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited college or university
-Experience in performing one or more of the following: system requirements development, system design development, system integration and verification.
-Experience with complex simulation systems.
