PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Pump Field Service Technician, you will perform hands on maintenance, troubleshooting / assessment, and repair work on pumps at various customer sites and / or an SPX Flow Service Center.You will work both in the shop and out in the field. You must be able to work from prints, process sheets, with written and verbal instructions to tolerances of .0005.This will require the use of gauges, calipers, and micrometers to measure work. You will work with minimal supervision while following routine procedures. The ability to fill out detailed inspection reports is required, and you must be available for travel, overtime, call-ins, etc. as needed to meet customer requirements.  

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

*High School Diploma required.
*Minimum of 5 years of pump repair or very similar experience required and at least two years of Technical Training desired.  
*Experience with other types of equipment such as Valves, Industrial Mixers, and Gear Boxes is a plus.  
*Excellent customer service skills.   
*The ability to travel up to 75 percent of the time.
