The Principal Benefits Analyst will assist in the management of the day-to-day activities and services associated with the administration and continuous improvement of benefit programs for our global workforce. In this role you will focus on benefit programs including but not limited to health and welfare, paid time off, and wellness programs. You will be involved in the design, implementation, and technological support related to these benefits programs and services.  The ideal candidate will be a technical expert in employee benefit programs, customer service oriented, and an effective communicator.

This position is located in Falls Church and/or Chantilly, VA.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in day-to-day administration of employee benefit programs, including processes related to annual enrollment and benefit integration
  • Design, implement, and regularly review benefit programs; ensure programs remain market competitive, cost effective, legally compliant, and aligned with our benefits philosophy and business needs
  • Monitor trends in the marketplace, prevalent practices among peer companies, emerging technologies, and new product solutions to help shape recommendations for new programs or program improvements
  • Review existing policies supporting our benefit programs and make recommendations for enhancements or efficiencies
  • Provide and share operational insights and key metrics that drive benefits value and design considerations
  • Collaborate with brokers, vendors and consultants partnerships
  • Partner with Finance/ Payroll and other departments to ensure accurate budgeting and accounting as well as identify interdependencies and ensure alignment
  • Assist in the preparation of communications and employee facing literature to educate plan participants of program changes/enhancements as well as to advise employees of eligibility for benefit programs
  • Participate in special projects, as needed, and perform other job related duties as required. 


8-10 years of related experience in benefit programs and administration

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related business discipline, or the equivalent combination of education and, professional training, or work experience.
