Employee will work with a team of other system and software engineers to specify, design, develop, test and deploy software and infrastructure within the AWS environment. The work will be done in a dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders. The resource will communicate with team leads and senior leadership and rapidly adjust direction in support of new and/or changing requirements.

This effort will include a variety of activities, including, but not limited to:

  • Designs, develops, codes, tests and debugs highly complex software products or makes significant enhancements to existing software.
  • Troubleshoot and debug software applications
  • Participates in the upgrading of operating systems and design of systems enhancements.
  • Provides input for documentation on new or existing systems.
  • Develops and conducts tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system problems.
  • Determines system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
  • Provides input to staff involved in writing and updating technical documentation such as user manuals, system documentation, and training materials.
  • Participates in the upgrading of operating systems and design of systems enhancements
  • This role may require occasional O&M support

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of related systems engineering experience.
  • Java experience highly preferred
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph Required

Must possess an appropriate and current DoD Information Assurance (IA) Certification to be considered for employment; either valid CompTIA Security+ CE, Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)-Security. CompTIA Security+ CE Certification is the preferred certification. In addition, candidate must attain the required DoD 8570 Computing Environment (CE) Training within six (6) months of Hire Date.

 

As part of your role/function on the program, you will be granted privileged user access. Privileged Users are subject to greater scrutiny as a direct result of the significant responsibilities placed upon them. Please be aware that because of these critical duties, you will be subject to additional IT system monitoring, and supervisory evaluation to ensure continuous adherence to Privileged User processes and procedures. Privileged Users are subject to a zero tolerance policy for security violations.

Education:
