Raytheon SAS requires a full time Sr. Product Support Manager responsible for representing the Whole Life Engineering Center (WLE) capabilities / disciplines and working with the existing product lines to execute exiting programs, identify, develop, and capture follow on business and develop solutions that result in new business for the WLE Center. This solution development will include not only existing product line but also includes developing and capturing new business outside our existing products within the established core product support disciplines. The candidate will be an industry recognized leader with a proven track record managing product support programs, departments, and Integrated Product Teams (IPT’s). The position requires extensive knowledge and experience leading Product Support IPT’s and able to take this knowledge and experience and translate into sound supportability solutions for our internal and external customers. This individual is expected to promote the interaction of all aspects of product support engineering with other engineering functions such as design (Hardware, Software, & System Engineering), reliability, maintainability, testability, and safety to develop winning solutions. Acting independently with minimal guidance, this individual will work with the Center Leadership, and the other Engineering Centers, to drive Center execution and growth expectations.
This critical role must realize and be able to develop the relationships necessary to satisfy a detail orientated customers domestically (Navy, Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, Coast Guard) as well as internationally. This individual is expected to expertly respond to program implementation scrutiny as both an individual contributor and team / SAS leader. Individual will be expected to maximize internal project resources, working within programmatic budget constraints as well as highly accelerated schedules. Individual must be able to keep pace with programmatic demands, addressing technical challenges while always keeping the product solution in mind.
This position is expected to be a hands-on seasoned professional who gravitates their team to a strategic view of the product support disciplines. Individual is expected to optimize value to the company as an effective bridge between various internal and external Customer stakeholders. Individual needs to be adept at leading product support roles resulting in capturing spin-off work that will positively impact the business unit’s new growth opportunities. Responsible for the day to day decisions, operations and Supervisory relations of multiple assigned areas and the successful integration of those activities.
Individual is expected to assist programs and functional management in making informed decisions regarding product support exiting program execution, bidding proposals, negotiating contracts, and determining future business/discipline directions for growth; lead and write technical and cost proposal sections focused on new business capture. Additionally this leader must actively train/mentor staff to foster the growth of Raytheon's expertise in Supportability.
