Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems Execution Operations (XOPS) is offering a great opportunity for a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor in our Integral Cabinets Center. This position will be responsible for the leadership of a manufacturing operations team on second shift of approximately 12 employees and will be accountable for the performance on all aspects of safety, quality, schedule, and cost for the second shift Heavy Cabinet Sub-Assembly Value Stream. The Value Stream Production Supervisor will be responsible for setting the standard and driving operational excellence throughout the organization.
This role requires daily interaction with other functions to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives. These groups include: technical support, manufacturing/test/design engineering, maintenance, production control, finance and the program management office. Achieving/exceeding safety, quality, delivery, cost goals and identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities using six sigma and lean methodologies are critical performance criteria for this position.
In addition to the above, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Supports deployment of manufacturing operations strategy, control systems, tools and metrics to accurately measure progress and drive continuous improvement, as they relate to the work Cell.
Employee hiring and training
Area layout and flow management
time and attendance tracking
Capital identification and control of area overhead & Indirect*Direct expenses
Ensuring the full compliance of company policies and procedures
This position can be a Salary Grade G08 or Salary Grade G09 based on the candidate’s qualifications as they relate to the skill, experience and responsibility requirement for the position
Minimum of 4 years of related work experience in production / manufacturing / operations or similar environments
Minimum 2 years leadership experience in manufacturing / planning / scheduling / finance / operations or similar environments
Experience with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma or other similar process improvement methodologies
This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Previous experience supervising bargaining unit employees
High computer literacy and with confidence and skill working with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and familiarity with Raytheon systems (VM, PRISM, PDM)
Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, and Supervisory experience in the aerospace/defense industry
Ability to leverage technology
BA or BS degree preferably in business field, technical field, or in industrial engineering or equivalent education and experience.
