Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer Intern to join our distinguished team supporting development, implementation, and integration of state-of-the-art computing systems for unique customer missions in Dulles, VA.IIS delivers innovative technology to make the world a safer place. Our expertise in cyber, analytics and automation allow us to reach beyond what others think is possible to underpin national security and give our global customers unique solutions to solve the most pressing modern challenges -- from the cyber domain to automated operations, and from intelligent transportation solutions to creating clear insight from large volumes of data. IIS operates at nearly 550 sites in 80 countries, including a large presence at our headquarters in Dulles, VA.

Responsibilities include:

  • Integrate software and hardware products and subsystems
  • Utilize DevOps tools and processes to automate infrastructure builds
  • Utilize private and public cloud platforms
Required Skills:

  • Ability to articulate status and results
  • Possess good written and oral communication skills
  • Desire to learn cloud computing and DevOps technologies
This position requires the ability to access systems that contain information restricted to US Citizens based on certain Federal Government Contractual requirements.

Desired Skills:
  • Familiarity with programming concepts and scripting skills
  • Exposure to public and private cloud environments and tools – VMware, AWS
  • Exposure to installation of COTS software
  • Familiarity with security engineering concepts and practices

Required Education:
Candidate must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a Bachelors or Master’s degree in Engineering (Systems, Electrical, Computer Science, Physics, Math). A GPA of 3.0+ is strongly desired. Please include your GPA and transcript with your resume. You must have obtained Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Post Graduate status as of Summer 2019.

This position can be for a Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Post Graduate Internship based on the candidate’s qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

ST02 (TechStudent-Sophomore) Sophomore status – must have completed 30 hours of college credits towards degree and obtained Sophomore status as of Summer 2019.

ST03 (TechStudent-Junior) Junior status – must have completed 60 hours of college credits towards degree and obtained Junior status as of Summer 2019.

ST04 (TechStudent-Senior) Senior status – must have completed 90 hours of college credits towards degree and obtained Senior status as of Summer 2019.

NUG (TechStudent-PostGraduate) Post Graduate status - must be currently pursuing a Master's or PhD degree and obtained Post Graduate status as of Summer 2019.
