Job Description:
This position is in the Advanced RF Design Section, within Space and Airborne Systems in El Segundo, CA. This team member will be responsible for the surveillance of several proposed customer hardware installation sites. Candidate will be working with contractors in the construction of installations at these sites. Will need to be able to communicate progress and generate detailed reports. Candidate will need Product Team Lead or Cost Account Manager experience. In addition, candidate will need to be able to work at remote sites with minimal supervision, manage vendors on site and communicate with upper management and customer contacts. Candidate will be expected to travel 2 weeks out of every month. The position requires technical knowledge in detailed radar installation, including thermal and structural engineering. Able to understand, translate and flow down detailed level requirements in an efficient and accurate way. Design and processing knowledge of system level integration. Knowledge of cooling, power and control systems. Involvement in detailed design development, including use of advanced CAD tools, geometrical tolerancing, design verification and validation methodologies.

Required Skills:

  • Keen engineering design skills
  • Able to work within a large team and communicate with internal and external customers.
  • IPTL or CAM experience as this person will also have those responsibilities.
  • Ability to work at remote sites with minimal supervision
  • Ability to manage on site vendors
  • Ability to communicate directly with high level internal and external leadership teams
  • Proficient with 3D modeling tools such as Creo
  • GD&T proficiency
  • Experience with Microsoft Operating Systems and business applications such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance as of day one of employment.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.

  • Understanding of USG acquisition system
  • Broad understanding of USG environmental regulations and requirements

Desired Education: MSME also recommended. Emphasis on design, materials or structural or thermal analysis
